This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.
They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.
Entry Requirements
Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:
- Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB training package (current or superseded equivalent versions), OR
- Have two years’ equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.
Learners are over 18 years of age. All international students must be able to demonstrate an IELTS 6.0 level of English language or equivalent. They have either completed their
education to a level which is equivalent to an Australian Senior High School, College or University
Course Duration
This program delivers over 20 hours of full-time study a week. Training consists of 20 hours a week face-to-face delivery. Resources are available online through the college Moodle platform. Global Institute Trainers use a combination of trainer-led classes and practical activities involving Small-group and individual activities.
Calendar Year: Seventy-eight (78) weeks
Academic Year: Sixty (60) weeks
Terms: 6 x 10 weeks = 60 weeks
Term breaks: 6×3 weeks = 18 weeks
Allocated hours: 1200 face-to-face hours
